Even though Ustaz was not able to travel due to the Covid restrictions yet we were able to appoint the Asatizah in Indonesia to carry out as per the usual way following the MUSTAHAB etiquettes.

We managed to assist a total of 4250 families in the surrounding village and in the mountaineous region.

Every year we allow Singaporeans to eat their Qurban meat with their family. Fellow volunteer brothers come together in helping to deliver the Qurban meat to the participants. This Qurban is carried out in Australia by a Muslim slaughterer and Air flown to Singapore.

We managed to assist 2290 underprivileged families here in Singapore with the Australia Qurban meat.

This wouldn’t be possible without the support of fellow Singaporean who brought smiles to these underprivileged.

This is performed considerably with the best humane method to minimise the pain for the animal. In order to ensure all Mustahab methods were properly adhered to, our team member Brother Sajir  went down to India 2 days earlier. He ensured all cows were properly taken care of and also with the preparation of the operational sites.

The Qurban was done in Australia in abattoir by Muslims and the meat was air-flown to Singapore, Alhamdulilah AFASG was able to deliver the meat fresh to all its participants house within the 2 days after it was flown in to Singapore where its was kept in a cold room to preserve its freshness. Many Jemaah were happy to receive and eat their Qurban meat.

The contributed meat by our Jemaah was then given to the poor and needy at two separate events, one was at Darul Arqam called “Meat On Wheels” event where many kind volunteers came forward with their vehicles to deliver the meat to underprivileged families in Singapore.

Another event was at Pertapis where the meat was contributed to the poor and needy. Many of them benefitted from eating the blessed Qurban meat which they were unable to afford.

By the grace of the Almighty, “Support a Student” took place in Rajagiriya, Colombo, Sri Lanka on 20th April 2019. It was supported and contributed by many good hearted Singaporeans where we managed to provide 527 underprivileged students with books & stationeries for one full academic year. Many students were very happy that they could have their own set of books.

Distribution of Food package took place at Molawatta, Colombo. Molawatta is a slum which is situated in the center of Colombo 10. The slum which is rarely about 2 acres is a home for 750 families. Many are poverty ridden and facing hardships of managing their lives within their income. After a thorough check, we selected and chose 560 families to support. AFASG strongly supports a multi racial and multi religious society. Hence AFASG had also contributed some food packages to Non Muslim underprivileged families in the slum area.

Your contribution went a long way reaching out many underprivileged families as it restored their hope to rebuild their lives.

In order to ensure all Mustahab methods were properly adhered to, our team member Brother Harith together with Brother Rafi went down to Indonesia a few days earlier. They ensured all sheep/goats are properly taken care of and they are of within the proper weight range 17 to 19 kg which we have promised our Jemaah.

By the grace of the Almighty, “Support a Student” took place in Trincomale Sri Lanka on 19th May 2018. It was supported and contributed by very good hearted Singaporeans where we managed to provide 420 needy students with madrasah books for one full academic year and stationeries.

Distribution of food package took place at Jaffa and two other rural fishing villages called Mankonbam and Nainateevu. Alhamdulillah, around 800 families benefited from the food packages for Ramadan. These areas just went through a 30 years civil war and the families has just started to return back to live in their war torn hometown.  Your contribution went a long way reaching out many needies as it restored their hope to rebuild their lives and also encourage those others who have yet to return back.
